What is Hospice?

Hospice is a special way of caring for people who have limited life expectancy, and for their family. We at California's Best Hospicework with the patient's physician and practices a palliative care approach in rendering the physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients, families, and their loved ones. Our emphasis is placed on the quality of life rather than length of life. Hospice services are available 24 hours, seven days a week.

The California's Best Hospice team is committed to ensuring that the patients are given the latest and most innovative approach in pain and symptom management to guarantee that patients spend their final days with dignity and utmost comfort.

The care provided by California's Best Hospice staff may be in their home, in a care center, skilled nursing facility, in-patient facility or wherever the patient calls "home".



Services Offered:

- Registered Nurses
Providing pain and symptom management which is also available in-person or by phone 24 hours a day. 

- Medical Social Worker
Offering emotional support and help with financial and legal options and resources.

- Hospice Aides
Assist with personal care and hygiene.

- Trained In-Home Volunteers
Providing caregivers with support and respite.

- Medical Director 
Consults with patient's physician and other team members to manage patient care.

- Spiritual Counselor
Offering support and assistance in obtaining chaplaincy services of your choice.

- Specialized Therapist
Available for physical, occupational and speech consultations. 

- Bereavement Staff
Providing counseling and support groups.

Who is eligible for Hospice Care?

Somebody who:

- Has an end-stage illness such as cancer; cardiac, lung or kidney disease; AIDS; or neurological disorders.

- Wants symptom control and a comfort approach.

- Has a physician who recommends Hospice Services.

- Lives in the Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernadino Counties
.



Who Pays for Hospice Care?

Medicare, Medi-Cal, most PPO and HMO insurances cover Hospice Care.

Choosing Hospice?

Anyone can refer a patient to Hospice. If you would like more infornation, please contact the office.
